Fiona LEROY

Fiona Leroy 's Winery , in southern Burgundy, was born in 2017 in the hills of Dezize-les-Maranges. Falling in love with the rolling landscapes of the Maranges, Fiona fulfilled her dream of freedom and independence.

A Winery certified organic in Burgundy

It is a very small Winery of 2,70 ha located in the Maranges, a small "country" on the Côte de Beaune, in a landscape dotted with hillsides surrounded by woods. Fiona's Winery is certified organic, she also uses biodynamic preparations and the operations in the vineyard and cellar are in accordance with the lunar calendar.

Fiona Leroy tells us about her Winery

"I try to preserve the diversity (fauna & flora) in the plots. No fertilizers, weed killers or pesticides from synthetic chemistry are introduced."

"I also use biodynamic preparations (horn dung, silica) and I work as much as possible according to the lunar and planetary rhythms."

The work of the vineyard is entirely manual, the treatments and ploughing are carried out with a caterpillar.

The grapes are harvested by hand and transported in small crates to avoid deterioration and to have the healthiest grapes possible in the cellar.
A rigorous sorting is carried out in the vineyard, always with the aim of having healthy grapes with optimal maturity.

A soft and natural wine making

The white wines of Burgundy are pressed as soon as they arrive at the winery, settled and then lowered by gravity into the cellar where they will continue their fermentation in oak barrels. The red wines of Burgundy are installed in tanks for their fermentation. Once the fermentation is complete, they are tapped by gravity.
Fiona does not use new wood for her maturation.
She allows herself the use of sulfur in homeopathic doses and when necessary.

We are very happy to be able to offer you Fiona's organic and natural wines, which we have found to be delicate and precise. Fleshy whites with controlled acidity and beautiful bitter notes, through to supple and airy reds with fine and precise aromas.
