EXCLUSIVE at Petites Caves (by Jean Delobre and Jacques Maurice)
STORY: Bogy, in the Ardèche, on a cold January morning in 2020. A tour of the cellar with Jean Delobre, tasting several terroirs, several barrels. It's quite long, because there are in fact several cellars! But the choice is quite easy, as the chosen barrel appears crisp, supple and surprisingly well-structured for a Syrah, especially 4 months after the harvest! Yes, it is indeed a Saint-Joseph, a reflection of its terroir, as we like it.
TASTING: A beautiful Syrah with red and black fruits. Floral and slightly peppery touches. This Saint-Joseph is a dynamic red wine, well balanced with a fresh finish!

VINEYARDS:Agrobiological cultivation (total respect for the expression of the terroir).
TERROIR: plot of land on shallow granite soils , above the Rhone. East exposure.
Grape variety : 30 years old syrah.
VINIFICATION : 20 days maceration with light pumping over. Fermentation without yeast or addition of S02. Addition at bottling of 15mg/L (almost nothing). No filtration.
AGEING : 12 months in barrel.
PRODUCTION : one barrel = 307 bottles only... exclusively for and at Petites Caves !
