Our opinion on this wine
La Reine Rousse 2017 - Luc Bauer's Les Grangeons d'albarine (The Albarine Barns)
A fine, elegant and dense nose of concentration (on the Old Vines side)
We are really facing an aromatic wine of pretty peppery spices
An energy that makes us feel good.
Cuvee made with grapes bought on the vine and harvested by me following the frost of 2017, grassed vines not weededed.
2 Plots on clayey silts in Seyssel. East and west facing Vines from 95 to over 100 years old.
Second hand half-muid vinification for 11 months. Dry wine malo made.
Rough filtration and 20 mg/l of sulphur at bottling (nothing what)
Store below 15°C. Protect from oxygen after opening.
Bottling on 05/08/2018
