We're talking to you about his Winery
| The Winery des Vigneaux is a family farm (3rd generation) located in the south-east of France in Ardèche, in Valvignères between Montélimar and Aubenas. Hélène and Christophe Comte both exploit the 13ha on which we find Chardonnay and Viognier for the white grape varieties - Syrah, Grenache, Merlot, and Pinot Noir and Cabernet Sauvignon for the reds. The Winery organic certification dates back to 2001 but the work has been mainly in Biodynamics since 2009. The soil is worked moderately, the contribution of organic matter, the spraying of plant preparations: all this taking into account lunar influences. |
This makes it possible to reduce copper doses, promote microbial activity, reinforce the energy of the vine and stimulate its natural defences. The aim is to find a balance and to let the terroir speak through each cuvée. Hélène and Christophe Comte vinify the wines with as little intervention as possible, without any inputs and without sulphite . The wines are bottled without fining or filtration, sometimes with an addition of sulphite on certain cuvée at this last stage. The wines are always fine, fresh and fruity. |
