We're talking to you about his Winery
|Eric Pfifferling 's wines are of great subtlety, extraordinarily fresh and digestible, far from local standards. Intense aromatic richness with floral, orange peel and sweet spice notes. This is the signature of Winery with a very natural character. With the complicity of Jean-François Nicq, at the time a great manitou at the Estezargues cooperative cellar, Eric Pfifferling is much more demanding and precise. The work of Jules Chauvet, the wines of Marcel Lapierre and his band (Métras, Foillard, Valette, ...) help him to trace his path: trusting the raw material by giving it the necessary work so that nature is strengthened, balanced and offers the expression of its terroir without artifice in viticulture and winemaking.||
In 2002, he withdrew from the cooperative. The Winery TheAngloreextends over 15ha. Of the five hectares that are entitled to the Tavel appellation, Eric only works on two to produce rosés on the best terroirs (sandy and white earth soils). The work is adapted to each terroir, each vine, each vintage and a constant attention to the plant life. The hand-picked grapes are harvested in small boxes placed in a refrigerated room. The macerations are long (5 to 10 days) in whole bunches. The press and free-run juices are blended to finish the fermentation. The wine is matured in truncated cone-shaped tuns and oak barrels.
For a few years their son Thibault, the eldest, has been working at Winery. In 2018 the second son, Joris, arrived too. The continuation is already built :-) !
