We're telling you about their Winery
| Like the famous mountain around Montpellier which rises in the middle of the garrigues, Mas Foulaquierhas been able to extract itself from the mass to become one of the most beautiful wines of the Languedoc and perhaps the best Pic St-Loup. Fascinated by the Winery of 8 then 15 hectares since 1998, Pierre Jéquier, a passionate Swiss architect, quickly directed the Winery in biodynamics to reach in 2007 the Demeter label, after the AB and Ecocert path. With the help of his partner from the Loire Valley, Blandine ChauchatPierre produces juicy, vibrant and fresh vintages. The location of the vineyard is a major factor in this (altitude of 200 m to the north of the Appellation) but not only that! | Meticulous work in the vines (respect of the lunar calendar, use of silica, cow dung and horn, plant decoctions, harvesting in crates for yields of 35 hl/ha) but also in the cellar: no yeasting, no filtration, no pumping. The juices are vinified separately and the wine is matured in small concrete vats and truncated cone vats. And finally, the bottling is done by gravity so as not to shock the natural wines of these artists. To discover...! |
