Winery – The Finest Beaujolais

A family legacy and a passion that has been passed down through the generations.

The Winery carries on the art of winemaking in the heart ofHandle, an iconic village in the Beaujolais. Founded by the Saint-Cyr family, the Winery now run by Raphaël Saint-Cyr, who took over the Winery his father Thierry in 2008. He represents the fourth generation of winemakers in the family and runs the Winery the same passion and respect for the terroir. "This is the story of a quest for excellence, where every bottle tells a story of our family heritage and our love for this unique region."

An exceptional terroir: Anse and its granite hillsides

Nestled on the sunny slopes of Anse, the vineyard benefits from granite-rich soil and a semi-continental climate, ideal for growing Gamay and Chardonnay. The poor, well-drained soils, combined with optimal sun exposure, allow the vines to produce grapes of rare aromatic complexity: refined, elegant, and truly expressive wines.

Artisanal expertise that respects the environment

At Winery , the vines are tended by hand, with the utmost respect for their natural balance. The grapes are harvested by hand and carefully selected to ensure only the best are kept. Here, as elsewhere, 80% of the work takes place in the vineyard.

In the cellar, the Winery traditional Beaujolais methods: fermentation in stainless steel tanks to preserve the aromas, aging in oak barrels to add roundness, and meticulous monitoring of each vintage.

A commitment to environmental responsibility

Practicing sustainable viticulture:

  • No herbicides: plowing and natural fertilizers to preserve biodiversity.
  • Protection of flora and fauna: the plots are living ecosystems, where every plant and every insect plays a role.
  • Reducing the carbon footprint: The Winery minimizes its use of inputs and Winery renewable energy.

Our goal? To produceauthentic wines that reflect our commitment to sustainable viticulture.

A Selection of Iconic Vintages – The Authenticity of Beaujolais

Each vintage from Winery is an invitation to discover the richness of the terroir. Here are a few wines that particularly impressed us:

  • “Terroir de Lachassagne” (Beaujolais Blanc, Chardonnay – 2022)
An elegant, mineral-driven white wine with aromas of candied lemon, green apple, and acacia blossoms. Its partial aging in oak barrels lends it a hint of fresh butter, creating a perfect balance between freshness and complexity.
  • “Robert” (Red Chénas, Gamay)
A tribute to our grandfather, this powerful and velvety Chénas captivates with its notes of morello cherry, violet, and sweet spices. Its silky tannins and lovely length on the palate make it an ideal pairing for dishes such as beef bourguignon
  • “Les P’tits Bois” (Moulin-à-Vent Rouge, Gamay)
A young, fruity wine with aromas of wild strawberries, blackberries, and licorice. Delicious and approachable.
