Abandoned Beach 2024 - Savennières - Winery
A Chenin from Savennières, always vibrant and lively. Here , the soil consists of sand and weathered schist. The vines are in the process of converting to organic farming. Yields are around 25 hl/ha. Hand-harvested, using indigenous yeasts. Aged on lees, including 12 months in oak barrels and 4 months in stainless steel tanks.
A rich, smooth nose with notes of apple, pear, and quince. A clean palate with a good balance of freshness and acidity. A lovely, fresh, and mineral-driven finish. A very nice Savennières that’s ready to drink now and has great aging potential!
