We're talking to you about his Winery
Luc Bauer makes (good!) wine with these principles as guidelines: respect the environment, water quality and air quality; respect the health of the people who make the wine and those who drink it; produce authentic, 'vibrant' wines, specific to their terroir of origin (the Bugey) and simply enjoyable to drink! Without forgetting this human aspect which consists in wanting to rehabilitate a true cultural heritage: the Argis hillside (100 ha of vines from 1900)! and thus to revitalize a region which is becoming desertified, thanks to an innovative and original activity. Bauer: a name which means "Peasant" in the language of Goethe, that is to say if this name predestined Luc to this noble profession of agriculture! After earth-oriented studies, Agricultural Engineer at ISARA Lyon in 2005 and Technician in Viticulture-Oenology in Davayé in 2009, Luc Bauer will be studying with various winemakers such as the Bret Brothers in Vinzelles, at Winery Philippe Jambon, Beaujolais, and in Canada. | And already natural orientations towards the respect of the vine, the wine and the consumers. To date, he works Biodynamic vineyards at the foot of the Roche de Narse, but with less than 2 ha, he cannot provide for his needs and continues to work for the Association of Organic Producers of the Rhône and the Loire, whose vocation is to help the transition to organic agriculture/viticulture with the help of Jacques Néauport, a pupil and disciple of Jules Chauvet. A great winemaker, taster and therefore a man of good advice. Luc, at his side, takes full advantage of all his know-how, his experience and, he says himself, his 'intuition'. We fell under the charm of Luc Bauer, of his work and even more so of the tasting of his wines from the last 2 vintages that he presented to us. Long live the Grangeons de l'Albarine, and long live Natural Wine! |
