Wine from the South-West: our selection of organic, biodynamic and natural wines
The vineyards of the South-West comprise 12 departments south of Bordeaux, between the Massif Central and the Pyrenees. The grape varieties of the South-West have a strong identity, there are more than 60 such as Duras, Malbec, Fer Servadou, Négrette, Mauzac, Chenin, Courbu and Colombard. The red wines have a tannic and powerful character, for keeping and hunting meals, but also fresh and easy to drink for meals with friends. The white wines can be vinified as dry, semi-dry, sweet or sparkling.

Everything you need to know about organic, biodynamic and natural wines from the South West:
The vineyards of the South West
The vineyards of the South-West are among the largest in France, stretching between the Pyrenees and Massif Central mountains and between the Atlantic Ocean and the Mediterranean Sea. This vast geographical situation has allowed the existence of many different grape varieties, (more than fifty) including indigenous varieties.
The climate in the vineyards of the South West is quite different depending on where you are located. The vineyards in the west have a more oceanic, mild and humid climate. In the north-east, the climate is more continental with rougher winters.

Many talented winemakers produce magnificent natural wines from the South West. Thanks to the diversity of grape varieties and the typicality of the terroirs, there are many different aromas and each wine represents a particularity of the South-West vineyards. Among the red wines, we find wines ranging from intense fruity to vegetal. We often find notes of blackcurrant, red fruit, pepper or violet. The white wines offer marked fruit aromas: grapefruit, candied fruit and passion fruit mainly. The work of these wines in"natural mode" allows their terroirs to stand out even more.
Through the selection of Petites Cavesyou can discover organic, biodynamic and natural wines from the South-West of France which will seduce you thanks to the exceptional work of the winemakers we have selected. You can find for example Winery Coquelicot, Pauline Broqua ( Winery du Buis) or Elian Da Ros, among many others!
You can also find on Petites Caves our other French regions: Alsace, Auvergne, Beaujolais, Bordeaux, Burgundy, Champagne, Corsica/Provence, Jura, Languedoc, Rousillon, Savoie/Bugey, Vallée de La Loire, Vallée du Rhône as well as our foreign wines!
