We're telling you about their Winery
A real fairy tale that of the nice couple composed of Jean-Yves and Isabelle Vantey! Love at first sight is at the origin of this marvellous little Winery nestling at the bottom of the Maranges valley, south of Meursault, a place of little known appellations which finally find their place among the Greats of Burgundy. Coming from different worlds, they settled in Sampigny-les-Maranges in 1989. In 1998, they bought their first hectare in red and today, this couple of quadras owns 6 hectares with, recently, premiers crus in both colours. | Biodynamic since 2008, the Pinot and Chardonnay are pampered with great respect: ploughing with a horse, no insecticides or weed killers, indigenous yeasts to start the fermentation, little filtration and, of course, minimal use of sulfur. The maturation of about 10 months is in barrels of several wines and has little impact on the different vintages. |
