Valentin Morel, winemaker in the Jura (Winery Morel), offers magnificent vintages, a perfect reflection of a beautiful Jura terroir and a committed, dynamic and promising winemaker . These soils are known to be relatively difficult to work and are cultivated organically. After studying law and working as a civil servant in the prefecture, Valentin decided to return to his Jura farming roots. A choice, a natural reflection and a reconversion completed by readings on the meaning of the value of work and on the intellectual approach of jobs wrongly considered as manual. In 2014, Valentin will take over the 6-hectare Winery Morel and name it "Les Pieds sur Terre", which reflects first of all a state of mind, but also a tribute to the pioneers of "bio". Here, the soils are essentially made up of Triassic marls, more or less heavy, and require a great deal of work in the vineyard to encourage soil life, particularly with the help of the pickaxe, the tool par excellence of winemaker.
