Bourgogne rouge 2024, cuvée XXIV - Fanny Sabre
This year's Burgundy vintage is a special one, a generic vintage, certainly, but quite exceptional because, in reality, the grapes—Pinot Noir, of course—come from his Volnay and Pommard plots. In fact, the 2024 vintage was disastrous, and there is not enough volume to release the Volnay and Pommard vintages. So that's the story behind this special cuvée!
This red Burgundy features crisp red fruit flavors, very fine tannins, and a supple, rich texture; it is ready to drink now, offering plenty of elegance and complexity. The finish lingers with subtle, refined notes of sweet spices, a powdery quality, and freshness.
