Vinyes SINGULARS

The Winery Vinyes Singulars, directed by Ignasi Segui, offers a fine selection of natural wines from the Penedès region of Catalonia.

Vinyes Singulars is first and foremost a great family story. Ignasi Segui's family has been working and living on their land, located in the Penedès region, not far from Barcelona (20 km to the west), since... 1405! The Winery produces wine, oil, honey, vegetables, cereals and eggs. Everything is grown organically (certified). Enough to keep you busy!

Since 2012, Ignasi Segui has been concentrating on the twenty hectares of vineyards at Winery. Located in the Penedès appellation area, Ignasi and his family only work with the traditional varieties of the region, such as xarel lo, macabeu, parellada, monstrell, sumol, white grenache and malvasia de Stiges. The vines are on average around 60 years old.

Ignasi has done a lot of work on maintaining the soil and respecting the environment. Most of the vintages are worked in mono-Grape variety and they are all certified organic. The vinification is done without inputs and the wines are without added sulphite.

The different wines we tasted really convinced us of the quality of the terroir and the work done by Ignasi. We are very happy to offer you a small selection of Vinyes Singulars' wines ("Singular Vineyards" in Catalan, it looks like them). Well-balanced white wines, with beautiful bitters and controlled acidity. Sharp, cutting-edge wines that give you a kick... or rather a "patata"!
