We're talking to you about his Winery
The Winery Coquelicot, located on the western edge of the Bergerac appellation, represents 5 hectares, mainly planted with Merlot and Cabernet Franc. From the outset, Grégoire Rousseau 's work has been respectful of nature, the soil and the notion of terroir. Of course, the search for maturity is important. However, the singularity of Winery could be this notion of maturing in barrels (sometimes new). There is here a work, a balance, a particular touch which is just right! Is it the geographical position of Winery that explains the finesse and elegance of the wines, on grapes reputed to be difficult? | We are much closer geographically to a Lussac or a Puisseguin than to Bergerac (the city). Coquelicot is a Winery created in 2006. First vintage in 2007. Grégoire is not from the wine world but he has studied it well... In short, it is a meticulous work which plays the balance between the notion of terroirs, grape varieties and breeding... without forgetting the "BUVABILITY" which is so important to us! Bravo and thank you Grégoire ! |
