A Winery and Visionary WineryThe Winery Abbatucci Winery , located in the Taravo Valley in Southern Corsica, is one of the island’s oldest vineyards. Founded in the early 20th century by the Abbatucci family, the Winery now run by Jean-Charles Abbatucci, alongside his daughter Faustine. This 21-hectare Winery is a veritable repository of native Corsican grape varieties, preserving a unique collection of 18 heirloom varieties, including Sciaccarellu, Barbarossa, and Carcajolu Neru. An Exceptional Terroir: Granite and MineralityThe vineyards of Winery Abbatucci stretch across granite-rich hillsides at an altitude of approximately 150 meters. This terroir, blessed with a temperate Mediterranean climate, offers ideal conditions for growing iconic grape varieties such as Vermentinu, Sciaccarellu, and Nielluccio. The granite soils and maritime influence give the wines a unique minerality and freshness, characteristic of great Corsican wines. |
Biodynamic and Innovative ViticultureSince 2000, the Winery cultivated using biodynamic farming methods, with a particular focus on soil regeneration and respect for natural cycles. Jean-Charles Abbatucci uses innovative methods, such as energized seawater, to enhance the vitality of the vines. The grapes are harvested by hand, and winemaking is carried out using indigenous yeasts, without chemical additives, to preserve the pure expression of the terroir.
