Vincent Gaudry's Winery is located in the village of Sury-en-Vaux, just outside Sancerre. Here he offers sauvignon cuvées full of life and carried by a sharp minerality that reflects the terroir of Sancerre.
The small winemaker village winemaker Sury-en-Vaux is located at the foot of the Sancerre hill. It is there that Vincent Gaudry’s family has been growing grapes for several generations. Vincent began working full-time alongside his father from 1991 to 1993 before leaving for military service the following year. At that time, the vineyards were managed using chemical pesticides; it was upon Vincent’s return to Winery major shift took place. He decided to set aside chemical pesticides in favor of a healthier approach to farming, both for the vineyard and for his family. In 1997, his father officially passed the torch to him, and Vincent Gaudry took permanent ownership of the Winery . By this time, the entire Winery managed organically (and would receive organic certification in 2002). Meanwhile, Vincent developed a keen interest in biodynamics; the Winery also Winery Demeter certification in 2014.

The vineyard (11 hectares in total) is located all around the village of Sury-en-Vaux, and Vincent is fortunate to own vines on all three of Sancerre’s terroirs: Kimmeridgian limestone, clay-limestone, and flint. A large portion of Winery of old vines. Always listening to the Ancients, Vincent Gaudry is looking for the taste of the Sancerre wines of the past, wines of terroir, of ageing, wines with substance. The various vintages are vinified naturally: using indigenous yeasts for fermentation and aged in truncated-cone-shaped wooden and stainless steel tanks, as well as in French oak barrels. The wines are very lightly sulfited at bottling. Bottling, incidentally, is done by hand by Vincent himself, using a two-spout “goat.” The goal is to avoid agitating the wine during bottling through forceful pumping. His wines, with their clean and crisp profiles, are characterized by pronounced minerality, reflecting the Sancerre terroir. We are pleased to offer you three Sancerre white wines. These complementary wines share a clean, straightforward profile. Wines that evoke emotion and pair perfectly with fine dining! ![]() |
