12°5, the jajazine to read!
Edited by the team of the beautiful culinary magazine 180°C, the jajazine 12°5 is back with a second issue just as full as the first. On the menu: Jo Landron, Alexandre Bain, carbonic maceration, vin de France. That's it!
Halfway between a book and a magazine, 12°5 defends natural winegrowing, winegrowers who are not in the line of work and those who accompany them. A magazine that stands out from the crowd by inviting the sharpest pens in the field of good drinking (Dominique Hutin, Isabelle Saporta, Philippe Quesnot...) to dress up a second finely knitted spring/summer issue. The introduction sounds like a guarantee of quality. There is a portrait of Jo Landron, the most famous moustache in the West, a figure and spokesman for an underestimated Nantes vineyard.
In the portrait section, don't miss the great Alexandre Bain, winemakerstar of the Pouilly-Fumé terroirs, unjustly deprived of his AOC for a missed appointment but especially for having dared to go organic! A story that has often been repeated recently, even going as far as the France 2 TV news. A necessary and perfectly illustrated report.
Speaking of beautiful photos, how can you not salivate when faced with the "wine and food pairing" section. One almost wants to eat the pages while waiting to go fishing for the roasted red mullet offered.
12°5 also goes on to explain carbonic maceration in a jajalogy lesson that should be read by everyone. Also worth devouring is a paper on the name "vin de France", which brings together under the same roof, industrial wines with make-up and wines from sharp, natural authors.
