We're talking to you about his Winery
Bruno Rochard is a fulfilled, welcoming, smiling Angevin winemaker and his wines are truly in his image: precise, straightforward wines with a lot of freshness, which makes them for the most part very easy to access. Since 2009, the Winery of Mirebeau, located in the famous Layon Valley, is grown organically. The 6.5 ha are half Chenin and half red with 2 ha of Cabernet Franc, and 1.30 ha of Grolleau, part of which is planted with century-old vines. In 1998, Bruno took over the family Winery , which had until then been worked in the traditional way. A lot of work was undertaken to restore the balance of the soils and to understand their complexity. | Its priority will be the respect of the living and the mineral in order to give back to this Winery all the energy it deserves. Certified Organic but in the vineyard, Bruno Rochard practices Biodynamics (preparations and herbal teas). The vinification is of course carried out without any addition (neither yeasts nor chaptalisation,...). Depending on the potential of the grapes, the vinification can take place in vats. Bottling and racking (dates chosen according to the lunar calendar) can be done - it is not systematic - with a small dose of sulphites (from 1 to 3 g/hl). |
