We're telling you about their Winery
Among the appellations that can be found at Chapuis & Chapuis: Chorey-lès-Beaune, Aloxe Corton, Côtes-de-Nuits, Hautes-Côtes-de-Beaune, Pernand Vergelesses, Saint-Romain, Volnay, Rully, Mercurey? It leaves you dreaming, doesn't it? The Chapuis brothers, Romain and Jean-Guillaume, created their Winery in 2009. And it is in Pommard that they found a small cellar to do what they love more than anything else: winemaking. This is a region where it is very difficult, if not impossible, to buy vines, especially in Côtes-de-Beaune or Côtes-de-Nuits. As a result, like some of them to date, they are looking for vineyards, winegrowers who are dedicated to their vines all year round.

Romain and Jean-Guillaume Chapuis choose them meticulously: sanitary condition, soil, exposure, age, variety: everything is scrutinized! The deal is made with the winegrowers to find the best quality grapes, if possible certified. These young thirty-somethings from Aloxe Corton vinify gently, not trying to mark their wines with long extractions. Winemaking is their thing, especially Romain's who has a lot of experience. "Flying wine maker" for a decade, he has vinified all over the world and finally settled down for three years with Philippe Pacalet (nephew of Marcel Lapierre), the region's natural wine passer. Good references, right?
