We're talking to you about his Winery
Jérome Jouret, whose vines are located a few kilometres west of Montélimar, vinifies plot by plot to make wines that respect each terroir and the expression of each of the many grape varieties. Varied vintages, in mono-variety or blending, successful, light, surprising, frank and natural, simple and complex at the same time. Jérôme and his partner Stéphanie ensure that everything is played out in the vines. Once these healthy grapes are obtained, why mistreat them in vinification? A newly built winery optimizes the juice by gravity. Pressing is carried out in the old fashioned way (vertical press). | Jérome worked the family vineyards, then created his Winery, 12 ha on the slopes of the Ibie valley. A Winery today called 'Jérome Jouret' (ex 'Grange Bartas', ex 'Les Clapas'). In his native Ardèche, Jérome meets Gérald Oulstric (Winery Mazel) and Gilles Azzoni (Mas de la Bégude) to discuss new methods that respect the terroir. Here everything is done to respect the grapes: good soil work, no chemical or synthetic fertilizers. |
