Brouilly 2022 - Alex Foillard
Alex Foillard found a few bottles of his 2022 Brouilly: It's a magnificent example of the best Gamay can offer with a few years in the bottle. We enjoyed it once again, with more complex aromas: notes of kirsch cherries, spices, and bouquet of flowers. Yes, the aromas on the nose and palate are more developed, but the density of the tannins has gained in finesse. The structure of the wine is just perfect!
Something different from other Brouillys and probably with a little Foillardesque touch too :)
Aged in cement and one third in barrel before blending. The vines are around 60-65 years old. Production of 9000 bottles.
