Valentin Morel ,winemaker in the Jura, offers magnificent vintages, a perfect reflection of a beautiful Jura terroir and a winemaker committed, dynamic and promising. Reputed to be relatively difficult to work, these soils are cultivated organically. After studying law and working as a civil servant at the prefecture, Valentin decided to return to his peasant and Jura origins. A choice, a natural reflection and a reconversion completed by readings on the meaning of the value of work and on the intellectual approach of professions wrongly considered as manual. In 2014, Valentin took over the 6-hectare Winery Morel and named it " Les Pieds sur Terre ", which first of all expresses a state of mind, but also a tribute to the pioneers of "bio". Here, the soils are essentially made up of Triassic marl, more or less heavy, and require a lot of work in the vineyard to encourage soil life, particularly with the help of the pickaxe, the tool par excellence of winemaker.
