We're talking to you about his Winery

Château is located in Pomport, in the Dordogne (24), right in the heart of the Monbazillac appellation, among the appellation’s highest plateaus (175 m). It is situated south of Bergerac, just 50 km east of Saint-Emilion. The Winery 45 hectares, spread across 5 plots.
The Winery by the Alexis family for at least eight generations! It is currently run by three generations: the grandfather, the father, and the son, Vincent.
Vincent Alexis, after extensive travels, joined the Winery in 2009 and steered it toward a new direction focused on small-scale farming, with a deep appreciation for each terroir and each plot—a “return to farmer’s common sense,” as he puts it.
As a result, the Winery its wines independently since 2010, and Vincent is gradually converting the entire Winery organic farming.
Whether in the vineyard or the cellar, work is carried out in accordance with the lunar calendar, incorporating biodynamic practices. Herbal teas are also used to nurture the vines and respect the soil.

Winemaking is carried out as a natural extension of the work in the vineyard, with the utmost respect for the raw material: a pneumatic press and indigenous yeasts. The only additive Vincent allows is SO₂, but always in homeopathic doses. Just as in the vineyard, the château to each wine based on its terroir, vintage, and intended purpose.
Aging is carefully planned according to the desired style of wine. It may take place in concrete or stainless steel tanks, in barrels, or even in amphorae. Very few new barrels are used so as not to mask the wines’ true character and to allow all the work done earlier in the process to shine through. The purpose of aging lies more in the gentle, natural micro-oxygenation of the wine than in adding aromas. Whether from the appellations (Bergerac, Monbazillac, Pecharmant) or classified as Vin de France, Château wines are a boon to the region and our palates—you’ll certainly notice their excellent value for the price! The revival of the Bergerac region is here!
