A winemaker experienced in the natural wines of Savoie

Yann Pernuit is a winemaker extensive experience in producing natural wines in Savoie. He worked for many years at the Château Mérande, and later worked alongside the late Dominique Belluard at Ayse in Savoie.

In 2019, Yann founded Les Vins de BELEMA and began his first winemaking efforts using grapes sourced locally, all while working for Dominique Belluard. The first wines tasted were clean, precise, and mouthwatering!

Following the tragic death of Dominique Belluard, Yann redoubled his efforts to plant vineyards in Ayse, Haute-Savoie, in order to become economically viable as quickly as possible. Naturally, the estate features local grape varieties that have sometimes been forgotten—notablyEtraire de la Dhuy —as well as Altesse, Mondeuse, and, of course, the famous Gringet, which shines so brilliantly among the limestone scree of the Mont Blanc valley….

We know and appreciate Yann's work because we went to see him at Belluard and at Château de Mérande. A meticulous worker, in love with nature and biodynamics.
