We're talking to you about his Winery

Eric Pfifferling’s wines (Winery Anglore) are highly subtle, extraordinarily fresh, and easy to drink—a far cry from local standards. They offer intense aromatic richness with notes of flowers, orange peel, and sweet spices. This is the Winery signature style Winery a very natural character. As a member of the cooperative and with the support of Jean-François Nicq—then a key figure at the Estezargues cooperative winery—Eric Pfifferling became much more demanding and precise. The work of Jules Chauvet and the wines of Marcel Lapierre and his circle (Métras, Foillard, Valette, etc.) helped him chart his course: trusting the raw material while providing the necessary care so that nature can strengthen itself, find balance, and express its terroir without artifice—in both viticulture and winemaking.

In 2002, he withdrew from the cooperative. The Winery TheAnglore extends over 15ha. Of the five hectares that are entitled to the Tavel appellation, Eric only works on two to produce rosés on the best terroirs (sandy and white earth soils). The work is adapted to each terroir, each vine, each vintage and a constant attention to the plant life. The hand-picked grapes are harvested in small boxes placed in a refrigerated room. The macerations are long (5 to 10 days) in whole bunches. The press and free-run juices are blended to finish the fermentation. The wine is matured in truncated cone-shaped tuns and oak barrels.

For some years now their son Thibault, the eldest, has been working at Winery. In 2018 the second son, Joris, also arrived. The next step is already underway :-)
