An expert on natural wines

Sylvie Augereau is passionate about wine, and more particularly natural wine.

Organiser of natural wine fairs and a specialist journalist, she took up her grandfather's vineyards in 2014. During one of our meetings, she explains: "These vineyards are a piece of paradise that I had been waiting for over 15 years. My grandfather, who had become a bit old (tired), left them to me in 2014. There is one and a half hectares with a breathtaking view over the Loire, between Saumur and Angers. It's not much, but a lot because I do everything on foot, by hand, right down to the label."

Natural, rare and sulphite-free wines 

And in these vineyards, half of the chenins are centuries old! It was in the village abbey that chenin was first mentioned in 845... And a half of Cabernet Franc, about 80 years old. A very nice selection that produces very small, airy bunches and very little (barely 15 hectolitres per hectare...). A small thousand bottles. They have not received of suffering at all. Half of the wine is aged in old barrels and the other half in 400 litres of new and noble wood. It is with pleasure that we offer you Sylvie Augereau's wines on our website!
