What's the best red wine for the French?

When asked "What's the best red wine?", most French people answer the mythical great wines of Bordeaux or the much-loved Côte du Rhône. Once again, there are a variety of different wines in these particularly well-known regions. Whether you prefer a light, fruity wine or a powerful, tannin-rich one, your wine of choice is very much your own.
