The Winery Bertrand and Axelle Machard de Gramont is a relatively small Winery in the commune of Nuits-Saint-Georges. A Winery of 6 hectares in total, located mainly in the Nuits-Saint-Georges appellation, but also with parcels in Vosne-Romanée and Vergy. The Winery founded in 1984 by Bertrand, Axelle’s father. Before that, he had been working with two of his brothers. One of them married Chantal Lescure, who owned many vineyards and homes in the region. Winery , they established a Winery covering 32 hectares, with vineyards in Vosne-Romanée, Pommard, Meursault, Puligny-Montrachet, Les Vallerots, and Nuits-Saint-Georges—all in the beautiful and vast region of Burgundy. Eventually, they decided to go their separate ways. |
This large Winery been divided into three estates:
In 2001, the vineyard’s area reached 6 ha thanks to the spectacular terraced replanting of the “climat” of Les Vallerots on virgin land that had been partially abandoned since the phylloxera crisis. Here is a Winery does an admirable job of truly seeking to express the “climat”—a powerful and iconic concept in Burgundy—in each of its wines. |
