After leaving the Czech Republic and following numerous encounters (withWinery , Yann Rohel, and Gérald Oustric), Andréa Calek settled in the Ardèche in 2007 to take the plunge into crafting his very own natural wines. While some consider Andréa Calek an oddball, it’s fair to say he plays the role of rebel to perfection. And while his head may be in the clouds, his feet remain firmly planted on the ground. With sulfur-free winemaking, respect for the terroir, and a focus on freshness and drinkability, Andréa Calek’s wines are a perfect and successful example of the “natural” style: Syrah, Carignan, and Grenache are pure, easy-drinking grape juices rich in flavor.

Adept of the "hyper-natural" even in its look, Andréa Calek treats us today with essential vintages of natural wine. Her wines without artifice are not easily tamed and require a certain curiosity.
