We're telling you about their Winery
Among the appellations that can be found at Chapuis & Chapuis: Chorey-lès-Beaune, Aloxe Corton, Côtes-de-Nuits, Hautes-Côtes-de-Beaune, Pernand Vergelesses, Saint-Romain, Volnay, Rully, Mercurey? It leaves you dreaming, doesn't it? The Chapuis brothers, Romain and Jean-Guillaume, created their Winery in 2009. And it is in Pommard that they found a small cellar to do what they love more than anything: winemaking. This is a region where it is very difficult, if not impossible, to buy vines, particularly in Côtes-de-Beaune or Côtes-de-Nuits. As a result, like a few others to date, they are looking for vineyards, winegrowers who devote themselves to their vines all year round. Romain and Jean-Guillaume Chapuis choose them meticulously: health, soil, exposure, age, variety: everything is scrutinised! | These young thirty-somethings from Aloxe Corton vinify gently and do not try to mark their wines with long extractions. The winemaking is their thing and more particularly that of Romain who has a great deal of experience. "Flying wine maker" for ten years, he has vinified all over the world and finally settled down for three years with Philippe Pacalet (nephew of Marcel Lapierre), the region's natural wine passer.
